Glan Laser prism polarizer is made of two same birefringent material prisms that are assembled with an air space. This polarizer is a modification of Glan Taylor polarizer and is designed to have less reflection loss at the prism junction. Glan Laser Polarzier has two escape windows that allow the rejected beam to escape out of the polarizer. This makes it more desirable for high energy lasers. The surface quality of these faces is relatively poor as compared to that of entrance and exit faces.
Features:
●High laser damage threshold: 500MW/cm2 for Calcite;1GW/cm2 for α–BBO
●High polarization purity
●Air space structure
●Suitable for low to medium power application where the rejected beam is not required
